Backcountry Skiing in the Pyrenees

Personal log of a novice backcountry skier in his backyard

Tuc dera Cigalera

I almost banged it on my second day of skinning ever, but because I didn’t even know that it existed and how -apparently- easy it is I didn’t go any further. It should take 1h30 or 2h on the way up and …much less on the way down!! It starts at the carpark on top of the Bonaigua by the lifts within Vaqueira-Beret ski resort. In the image below you can see the route (in black; in red it’s what I did that day).
