Pow morning at the Saioa (Nafarroa) – 27 Feb 2013

Epic morning with great snow at the Saioa today. I had planned to go somewhere closer to home (and lower altitude) but when I saw how cloudless and bright the dawn was (and cold, with lots of frost at sea level), I knew the Saioa was going to be epic. And so it was. So much that I went thrice to the summit (first time ever). Shame about the wind affected snow on the N/NE side, but the S/SE was just so sweet. And not too crowded either. Looks like we are in for another run of good weather and snow on the hills nearby.

Looks like the snow Gods have treated us this week. Granada is caked at the moment! Nice pics btw – looks pretty perfect!

Indeed. Just seen it on the news. Massive queues this weekend at Sierra Nevada i’m afraid…
      Cheers!!!
