Backcountry Skiing in the Pyrenees

Personal log of a novice backcountry skier in his backyard

Mountain biking – 19 September 2012

After yesterday’s rain I was a bit wary of the state of some of the tracks I’ve been training on lately, but when I went out this afternoon they were actually quite ok. I seem to have -finally!!- stablished a set route or circuit in the San Marcos area. It’s a 10km loop starting some 4kms away from home. It has a bit of everything (up, down, tarmac, dirt, singletracks) and plenty of roots and loose rocks too! Now it’s a matter of working on it. 19kms today which brings my total to 276kms so far.
