Backcountry Skiing in the Pyrenees

Personal log of a novice backcountry skier in his backyard

Mountain biking – 7 September 2012

I’m just back from a few days in France, in the Landes of Gascony to be more precise. I’ve had a couple of great surfs but I also found time to explore a few tracks, some just by looking and some others using Wikiloc. It’s been very tiring -lots of sand on the tracks- and frustrating (3 flat tyres), but some nice moments were had, specially around the Tucs area in an amazing forest. If only there could be a little less sand!!

Managed to go out 3 days (22km, 18km and 24km) to bring my total to 160kms.
